​Service and Sisterhood are our hallmark and purpose. Partnerships with local organizations include, The Women’s Foundation of Greater Memphis, Hattiloo Theater, Lemoyne Owen College, The YWCA of Greater Memphis, Springdale Magnet School, The American Heart Association, and Dress for Success Memphis, to name a few.  Through these and other organizations we strive to impact our local community and leave an indelible mark on the lives of those we serve.  We have also provided over $200,000 in scholarships through our signature program, “The Pat Gill Performing Arts Scholarships Showcase”.  Our members will work tirelessly and collaboratively to expand and maximize our outreach.

As a part of our international program platform, "Soaring to Greater Heights of Service & Sisterhood," Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® with its over 300,000 members, focus on impacting the community through six program initiatives: Strengthen Our Sisterhood, Empower Our Families, Build Our Economic Wealth, Enhance Our Environment, Advocate for Social Justice, and Uplift Our Local Community.
