Greetings,
I am honored to serve as the 12th president of the phenomenal Phi Lambda Omega Chapter. I am humble to lead a group of amazing and talented women who are committed to serving our community.  Our sisterhood is warm and inviting and the cornerstone of who we are.

Our 2022-2023 theme is IVY Distinction ~ Innovation – Vision – You!  This vision will epitomize a bond of genuine sisterhood, implement life-changing and impactful service programs, and impart transformational leadership development to our members. Our plans will focus on achieving our vision with excellence, collaboration, and inclusiveness. Together we will meet this challenge.

We will begin 2023 with a year of personal growth, service, and unity. We will move forward and continue our journey of sisterhood and service as we take ownership and pride in our L.E.G.A.C.Y.

Phi Lambda Omega Chapter has served the Memphis community for twenty-two years supporting the YWCA of Greater Memphis, National Kidney Foundation, American Heart Association, Hattiloo Theater, Refugee Empowerment Program, Boys and Girls Club of Memphis and many other servant leaders and community organizations. Annually, Phi Lambda Omega awards more than $20,000 in academic and community service scholarships to high school students in the Memphis community.

Phi Lambda Omega continues to support the vision of Danette Anthony Reed, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s International President & CEO to deliver community service that aligns with our international initiatives. In July 2022, Ms. Anthony Reed, unveiled our international theme for 2022- 2026 Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood.

This administration has six initiatives. Strengthen Our Sisterhood will serve as the administration’s “Foundation Initiative” as we strengthen our bonds to support our service mission. The remaining five initiatives will serve as the “Program Initiatives” which include:

Empower Our Families
Build Our Economic Wealth
Enhance Our Environment
Advocate for Social Justice
Uplift Our Local Community

These initiatives are designed to improve the lives of those we serve. We will work collaboratively to maximize our outreach on progressive endeavors and consistently produce leaders who will advance our credo of service.

Phi Lambda Omega Chapter also serves as the supervising chapter for Omicron Chi, located on the campus of Rhodes College, Memphis, TN.

We encourage you to follow us on Facebook  and Instagram to obtain information about upcoming events. We invite you to join us as we build a stronger community together!

Yours in Service,
Dansherryl Ford Knapp
