Greetings Members, Supporters and Community Partners,

Thank you for visiting our website. I have the honor of serving as the 11th president of Phi Lambda Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Our phenomenal Chapter, chartered in Memphis, TN in 2000, has proudly served the Memphis community for 20 years through service and public stewardship. Annually, Phi Lambda Omega awards more than $15,500 in academic and community service scholarships to high school students in Memphis and surrounding areas.

This year, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. celebrates 112 years of Service to All Mankind. As our chapter celebrates 20 years of service, we are excited to build on the foundation laid by our founders.  We will continue to hold the torch high, creating paths that lead to improving lives in our local communities.  Our organization has grown to over 300,000 college educated women coupled by our sisterhood and commitment to be servant leaders.

Phi Lambda Omega Chapter supports the vision of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s International President, Dr. Glenda Glover, as SOIL – Serve Others in Love – to deliver community service that aligns with our International Programs. The theme for 2018-2022 is Exemplifying Excellence through Sustainable Service. The five (5) program targets that we will focus on are: HBCU for Life: A Call to Action; Women’s Healthcare and Wellness; Building Your Economic Legacy; The Arts and Global Impact.

After visiting our website, we hope you get a better understanding of who we are!
